Project Description:

Somnora is a 3D immersive PoolCore exploration game built on the principles of diegetic level design. Players are dropped into a space that feels familiar yet subtly dislocated—a world of smooth pool tiles, motionless water, and echoing footsteps that together evoke a liminal atmosphere suspended between dream and reality.

In Somnora, the environment is not merely a backdrop but a tangible medium for both narrative and level design. Scene details are not decorative—they form the core of gameplay and progression. Rejecting traditional quest markers, Somnora embeds clues within the texture of the world itself, inviting players to uncover meaning through sensory illusions and spatial disorientation as they delve deeper into the heart of the dream.

Game Mechanics
  • Player will walk through multiple interconnected spaces that vary due to the player's dreamscape

  • Antigravity scene design with player's ability to step on the wall.

  •  Puzzles like visual illusions stimulate the player's curiosity for exploration.
